Kat Cunningham, Founder

Growing up, I adopted everyone else’s pet to fill my need for pet love. I didn’t get to have a pet of my own because my Mom was already overwhelmed with the responsibilities of home, kids, and work. My interest and training related to animals goes beyond domestic (your pets) to the exotic. As soon as I qualified, I applied and beat out 70 other candidates to be a Docent at our local Hogle Zoo. I did it a total of four years and then graduated from the program.

In 2017, I took a pet sitting class that taught me how to deal with vital signs, behavior, and more! I've also been pet sitting for 3 years. I can't wait to meet your pets!

Greetings!

I have been working for Kat Cares for over a year now, and have loved every minute of it! I have a cat of my own and recently raised a wild duck to adulthood. I spent my childhood on a farm, and I am comfortable looking after all kinds of animals.

Lydia Vidal

Hello!

Growing up we always had dogs in the house, currently we have two small dogs (chihuahuas) and a cat. Growing up with pets has given me a lot of experience on how to handle all kinds of behvior from being kennel trained to free home range, as well as pets both young or old, and those that have special diets.

I can't wait to meet your furry friends!

Sam Vidal

Hi,

My name is Samuel Vidal. I’m eighteen years old and a student at Salt Lake Community College. Along my way through life I have always had some sort of pet companion in the house to help take care after. From a quaint little lizard to a energetic & playful boxer. Such a vast array of animals over the years has led me to not only enjoy spending time with them, but to also recognize their unique personalities alongside the specific needs that may come with them. At the end of the day I hope to provide your pets with the right attention, and hospitable caregiving to provide you time to be away from home.

Theresa Fassler

Hello!

Theresa is going into their third year of college at the U and has worked with animals their whole life. Their family has owned dogs, horses, rabbits, and birds, so they’re a fan of unconventional pets, but they’ve come to love working with cats.

Ashlee Drage

Hi,

I grew up with dogs, one of whom had diabetes, which gave me the opportunity to learn how to give insulin shots. I've also pet-sat for my family and neighbors for several years before joining Kat Cares Pet Sitting. This has allowed me to work with animals such as cats, hamsters, mice, lizards, and snakes. I have experience with giving medication to pets in the form of pills and shots.

I look forward to working with you.
